Earth-Wind-And-Jewellery

FIRE

Playing with fire,

She knew she'd get burnt,

But for her

This was one that she had to learn.

She took a match and she lit it up,

She could feel his heat before his touch.

Infatuation wafts fires a blaze

As tinder smokes

in a dreamy haze

As it glowed,

She watched with pure delight.

Her eyes transfixed.

Mesmerized.

Cold winds behind

Whistled warnings of truth,

As the warmth engulfed her.

Empowered

Consumed.

Bowed to the flames and she kissed the ground

Embers rose.

Her spirit found.

And now she felt a surge of immense pain.

Cold and wet

But alive again.
